How to throw a Curveball in 3 easy steps  

Curveballs add an extra 10 XP to your catch XP, and increase your catch rate by 1.7. All in all, it’s a useful thing to know. But since the ball curves when you throw it, it’s incredibly hard for it to hit when you throw. Here’s a tried and tested technique to make this process easier.

1. Slide the ball to the left of the screen.

2. Raise the ball to the level of the Pokémon.

 

3. Spin then release the ball to throw a curveball.
